I am no machinist at all but I have a lathe and mill. I have learned how to cut threads and do just about anything I need to from watching YouTube. lots of good stuff on there.
Nice find on the planer. Just a heads up if you didn't know Foley-Belsaw made that planer for Craftsman here is a link to the manual. http://www.vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=4447
Here are mine got the top 6 drawer with tray at yard sale, got the middle 3 drawer at flea market, and the bottom off a member here. use them to store my milling machine tooling.:rocker:
I bought a old toolbox full of tools with this and some more no name tools.
There were Plomb, Proto and others, was wondering who made this ratchet ? The only mark on it was the O in the web of the handle.
Went to a few sales today didn't score a lot. But I did find one unicorn that I have been looking for at a flea market. 60/70s Craftsman red/gray three drawer mid box. Its going to need some tlc for sure.
Went to a few sales this weekend. And Jason was right not a lot of sales listed this weekend. But me and the wife figured we would go out and try anyway. first sale we hit I scored about 80lbs of taper shank drills for cheep :rocker:
Not much of any sales going on around my part of the world yet. but I did get out to one that looked promising. Not a bad haul for 20 bucks the lid has some dents but I think I can live with it. But now I need to find the bottom cabinet too match. Also picked up this little Craftsman hammer.
From the first picture that tag looks like the very early Delta did not put ser # on there first production machines at least drill press's. that would date it somewhere from 1936-1938 if memory serves me. here is one I have as you can see noe ser# and no holes for drive screws.
