I think I currently have a 12" radius track. I was thinking I'd need a 10-12" almost-vertical section of track, plus the 32" radius track. That'll put the top edge of the door within 7" of the ceiling when it's open.

That's good to hear! I plan on having the opener mounted so that the rail is within 1 cm of the ceiling (I need every inch of clearance I can get).

I'm new here and seeking advice on the upcoming high-lift conversion of my double-door (2-car-wide door).
The plan right now is to "high-lift" my door to within 6 inches of the ceiling. They're going to replace the springs/shaft and a little bit of the track.

It comes down to this: rebalance when they are out of balance. There's no need to otherwise. You'll feel an out-of-balance wheel.
On my small cars, I've never had to have a wheel rebalanced after the first balance when mounting new tires. On my trucks (bigger tires), I've occasionally had to...
