I have attic trusses that are 2x6 and the soffits are vented.
Currently I do not have drywall on the ceiling so its pretty open. There is no insulation for the roof and it gets pretty warm during the summer so I am looking for the best way to do this...
That's a good point, now that I think about it the power company just changed our meter last month (IIRC) to one of the new fangled automatic readers..... I will look into this
I don't *think* its the dehumidifier, the building has been in place for some time, and prior to the electric being run to the shop the same dehumidifier had been running off of an extension cord. The electric bill was slightly higher running it, but not $200 a month higher.

Well, material changed a bit. The original supplier couldn't get me what I needed, so I purchased 70 ), 4x8 sheets in two inch thickness from a different supplier at a slightly cheaper price. So I will just double layer the 2in boards to achieve the 4" thickness.
Now, should I use a vapor barrier towards the outside of the building, or the inside?
Outer wall, barrier, insulation, wall covering
