    Racedeck installed, transition question

I staggered the joints between my floor tiles and edge transitions in order for them all to connect, maybe that is an option? My transition seams are centered in the floor tile edge, if that makes sense.

HF tool box height off ground with and without casters?

I know this is an old thread that was brought back up, but figured I would contribute as I did the same thing. My box was too tall to fit under the workbench with the casters on it, so I removed them and used a set of Appliance Rollers to make it easy to move if needed...

    What holds up to welding?

Is Rust Bullet still around? I thought that was more 'resistant' to welding.

    CAMMShaft's Shop Continued....

Possibly in a corner, with the top half of the case on the back wall, then a landing in the corner and the bottom half of the staircase on the side wall? Would allow an air compressor under the landing, and a toolbox/workbench under the top part of the stairs. Only creating a minimal area of...

    Squeaky noisy rollers!

I replaced my rollers with urethane ones. They look similar to the material used in rollerblade wheels. Extremely quiet, and it's been 3 years now and I haven't had to do any maintenance on them. I think it was under $20 from Amazon. After reading all the replies, I see my reply will not help!

    Security Cameras

I also have a Blink system, it has worked very reliably and if you watch sales, they can be had for about $50 a camera. I have two systems, because each system comes with 2 gig of storage, it makes sense to add more cameras by adding a second system to double the storage, the app combines...

    Flooring Choice: Freeflow or Diamond

Try finding a pattern that includes both types of tiles that you like the look/pattern of. I have free flow tiles where my wife parks her car so all the rain/snow/dirt drips through the floor. The area between her car and the wall is solid tiles for storage cabinets to sit on and to walk on...

    Rat Wall load capacities

The large shed that I am allowed can be up to 400 sq ft. However, if I stay below 100 feet, I do not need to pull permits or have it inspected. The neighborhood requires it to be on cement though, and match the style of my house, which is mostly brick. I have looked into the faux brick...

    Rat Wall load capacities

I'm looking to put a large shed in my backyard and the township requires an 18" deep ratwall to be poured under the foundation. My subdivision is trying to get me to brick the exterior of the shed. I can't find anyone at the township office or in the local code that I have been able to find...

    Just ordered my racedeck floor

I did 1/2” gaps to the wall for mine, it’s been down for ~3 years with no expansion issues. My temperatures have ranged from -5F to 95F with no issues. I think they recommend installing them on a hot day, or leaving them out in the sun prior to install so they are ‘expanded’ when installed...

    Cost of slab?

I just paid $14 a foot for exposed aggregate including everything. And was quoted $9-11 a foot for a pad to put a shed on. $2.50 seems very reasonable to me.

    DIY Slab. Yes or No?

$2000 doesn’t seem to bad, and worth the money. I received a few quotes for a 10x15 slab with a 18” rat wall around the perimeter, most were in the $15-1800 price range, and that’s about half the size of your job. My quotes included everything though, including hauling away of the grass they...

    Cutting Racedeck Tiles (miter saw)

I used a cordless circular saw to make the straight cuts when I needed to cut the tile in half. All other cuts were made with a cordless jigsaw with a fine tooth blade. Any burrs that were left, were quickly removed by running a knife edge sideways over the cut.

    RaceDeck Free Flow or Solid

I have both in my garage, 2 bays of free flow for the daily use vehicles. The water and snow drip right through and can generally walk around in socks and dont get them wet. The 3rd bay is solid and it's where my hot rod gets parked and worked on. If you work on cars a lot, I would advise...
