    My shop/barn build thread

Very nice. Is the upper area big enough to be an office?

Matco tools class action law suit.

I felt the need to chime in on the Matco lawsuit as my good friend of 25 plus years is also my SO dealer. Snap-On changed their franchise agreement with their dealers about 12-15 years ago. They came back on my friend, who has had his truck and route for about 20 + years. He had taken over an...

Military tools in a fitted Pelican case

I am not privvy to how much of this gear is actually "appropriated" legally or illegally on base. But, I can tell you that the theft of Contractor and Subcontractor equipment on base is pretty outrageous. My crews have been hit at a jobsite while they have lunch outside in the parking lot. It...

Military tools in a fitted Pelican case

I have checked with three other pawn shops that I frequent and the going price seems to be in the $ 650 to $ 850 range in this area. I managed to get mine at a lower price because the sales guy said that they got three of them in at one time a few days ago. Yesterday, there were two left and I...

Military tools in a fitted Pelican case

Gotta add this - finished checking out each of the tools. Most have never been used. That warrants a "you ****" again. Remember, there is still another set there.

Military tools in a fitted Pelican case

Fort Bliss happens to be well within the city limits and is now supposed to be the largest base in the country. It is massive. My company does do a good bit of work out there, now and in the past. At the risk of alerting the Fed, some of the stuff out there on the black market would scare the...

Military tools in a fitted Pelican case

A couple of more things to add now that I have looked at the GMTK links, and thanks, by the way. The set that I bought is like brand new. As a matter of fact, most of the tools look like they have never been used. I paid $ 600 at a pawn shop and they had two of them. The case on the other...

Military tools in a fitted Pelican case

Anyone here recently come across military tool kits in a fitted Pelican case. Bought a set today in a fitted Pelican case. Armstrong tools, multiple drawers, 1/4 thru 3/8 drive, metric/standard, box end wrenches, extensions, etc. - you get the picture. I do believe I know my tools (70% of...

    Foredom tools

Anyone out there ever had any experience or currently use Foredom tools. These are normally jeweler's tools. I have a foredom grinding/polishing kit that was a gift from a family member about 25 years ago.

Is it just me, or is this a hell of a deal?

Just a thought. Do any forum members here have a good working relationship with your local Snap-On dealer? I have been buying Snap-On for about 30 plus years and my dealer and I have an excellent relationship. When I have time to hunt for a deal on tool sets, I ask him to look out for any...

    Broke my SK Tuff-1 ratchet

Sure looks a lot like my favorite Snap-On ratchets, which I have had for many years. I bet the ratchet head on the Snap-On would work on your ratchet.
