    120v t8 led retro recommendations.

+1 on the Hyperikon, great product. I retrofitted 8 twin lamp fixtures and am very happy with them. I ordered them through Amazon. I have the tubes that required ballast removal and fed from one end.

1-10v signal cable for led panel lights

Article 725.126 talks about how class 1 and class 2 circuits cannot be run in the same conduit or raceway. Class 1 being lighting or power circuits and class 2 being current limited low voltage circuits. Conductor insulation voltage rating is not a factor, the rating of the power supply is.

This is why proper torque is important.

My thoughts also. Hot enough to melt a lug, it was probably hot enough to damage the breaker.

Question about Difference Between Generator Circuit Breaker

I'm guessing it's a set of auxiliary contacts, rated 10 amps at 250 volts according to the label. I would assume them to be isolated from the main contacts, but it would be prudent to check. If they are isolated, you probably don't need to do anything as long as they don't contact anything...

    Shared ground....

You only need one grounding conductor in the 1-1/2 inch conduit, sized based on the largest circuit in that conduit. You can reduce the grounding conductor sizing when you branch off the 120 volt circuits into new pipes, also sized based on the largest circuit in that conduit.

Monitoring power of a single phase motor

Google "240 volt led indicator" and you'll find a bunch of options. It even appears Graingers has some, which might be local to you. Also Google "current switch" for more and cheaper options.

    Help with wireless access point

+1 on what Beemer said. Cat5e is fine and I have the same WAP, works well and I like the quasi POE setup.

    120v and sprinkler controller wire

With voice or data cabling, you sometimes get noise when running too close to power wiring, control wiring would not suffer the same problems. I would just run it through a separate hole in the joists a few inches away. I don't know of any code required distance, as long as it is run separately.

How would you run this electrical conduit?

Schedule 80 is only required where subject to physical damage, for normal underground use, schedule 40 is fine. Also, I think that what the inspector said about running control wiring in the same conduit as the power wiring is not true...but the inspector's word is what is law, so if he is...

How would you run this electrical conduit?

You have a couple of options. If you want to bury it, but don't want to dig too far down, you can use rigid metal conduit, or IMC. Those two raceways only need to be 6 inches deep, but I would even say that they can be run above ground on pipe piers or sleepers. The book says that when subject...

Help! Solar city install left HUGE eyesore

Being an electrician, I would be curious what wiring method was used to and from the disconnect. If the wiring is somewhat flexible, I would remove the screws holding the disconnect to the framing or wall and "pull" the disconnect out far enough to allow Sheetrock, some corner bead or j bead and...

Running 240 for welder don't let me get shocked... Seriously though could you...

Appears to be aluminum wire, could be heat from a loosen(ing) connection. Or it could anti oxidant paste that is staining the wire insulation.

can I rewire my saw from 480 to 220?

One of your other Flicker photos shows the top/primary of the control transformer. Looks like convertable as well. 2 - 240 volt coils for the primary, put them in series for 480, wire in parallel for 240 use.
