Here is a versa vise set up for doing gun work although it isn’t on the bench. As you can see the back jaw has been modified to swivel. I just made wooden inset jaws to accommodate tapered work instead.

I actually contacted someone at Wilton I think (it was a couple 6years ago) and they were very helpful. They sent me that, and it got mine up and running. It was low on oil.

It is a vise usually mounted on the right end of the bench not on the face. Used with bench dogs it can hold boards flat on the top of the bench for various tasks. Some are wooden and built as part of the bench.

Speaking of small vises, I found my unicorn vise. Even though I was closing my shop and moving to Maine giving away and selling tools right and left (yes I parted with several large vises and an anvil) when a friend asked me to go with him to look at and possibly buy some tools from a friend...
None that I recall but I can check tomorrow morning. I believe it is black but I’ll check.

The column was drilled and tapped to mount the chair.
I'm not a metal worker but I do the best that I can. I had some 3/8" aluminum that I drilled to match the hole spacing on the column and then I used lag screws to fasten it to the laminated wooden top...
