    Minisplit capacity case study

I can't find the specs on the exact model right now. It's a Gree 18K purchased in early 2018. The current model will go down to ~3800. This unit is at least double what the space needs.

    Minisplit capacity case study

Oversizing is definitely an issue. I put an apartment above my shop, pole barn with metal roof and siding. Fully insulated and the shop below is has HVAC. I had 2 companies come in and give me estimates and both wrote them for 18k btu minis. In the end I got the mini myself and did the install...

Picked this bunch at an estate sale a couple days ago. Inventory of the 55 turns up only missing two cutters and the screwdriver. Been looking for a decent 12 for a few years that wasn't full blown retail. The Goodell jointer plane gauge was in a junk box marked free.

20 something years ago I had 2 pole barns built a year apart. The first was going to be my shop and I didnt want any diagonals inside. It was designed like yours with the trusses being let into the posts and attached at both the top and bottom chords. That provided the racking resistance. The...

    Beginning wood working advice

My advice is to learn and be proficient with basic tools first. Take a class or 2 in basic joinery and hand tool use. This will go a long way to helping you understand woodworking. So many times I see people getting into the hobby buy a table saw and a pocket hole jig and have no basic knowledge...

    Pole barn nail remover

Rota broach will cut the head off the nail. Then once the metal is off you can deal with the rest of the nail if needed. Probably the least chance of damaging the metal.

Any boat builders? Looking for the best spar varnish/urethane/clear....

Liters not quarts. Why are you buying a 5l can? 2 liters is all you need and this stuff doesn't keep on the shelf once opened. Even sealed cans start to gel after about 2 years.

I can get nearly 2 full coats on a 19' boat with 1 liter. I'd say 5 liters will be enough.

Foam doesn't hold enough material and let it flow on like a good bristle brush. Also introduces air bubbles in the material.
