I recently had a slab poured and they left a huge raised area in 1/4 of the floor. They guy that poured it checked it and said he missed it but would fix it. The next day he showed up with this

The back half of the face on the anvil is missing and the top is curled over. It does not even qualify as an anvil anymore. That guy is way out of bounds on his description and his price. I would scrap it if it was mine. He has been trying to sell it for about 6 mos.
The long one is a screw starter. Pull the black tip out and twist it. Put a screw on and push it back in and it will hold the screw, start the screw and pull it out and tighten with regular screw driver.
The one that looks like pliers is a hog ring crimper I believe.
I actually thought of that. My son has some (500+ tubes) of the epoxy stuff they use to glue threaded rod into concrete. Gave me a couple tubes. It's two part epoxy with some crazy holding ability. Might do that.
Thanks
This is the back side and the edge where I cut it.
I am having people contact me about buying it. Not sure the best way to do this. Nobody has made an offer, all just inquiring about if I'm selling.
Therefore, if you are interested in the 43.5X9'X3/4" plate please PM me an offer.

I got my hands on a piece of AR400 steel. It is 43.5" wide and 17' long, and 3/4" thick.
The plan is to make a welding table from it and I have cut 8' off of the piece. I am building a generous frame but not going too crazy. I have quite a bit of 3" angle that is 3/8" thick that I will use for...
I know farmers around me that have about 200 gallon tanks or thereabouts on trailers and just haul them in for filling. Park them where they need them and use them for several months and then go back.
Around me there are places that will fill any tank if you can get it to them.
If you started with bar stock it takes just a few minutes to get to forging temp and shorter time for each reheat. Different steels are also harder to move than others.
Again it depends on what you start with and your skill. I've been making knives over 20 years and can probably forge faster...
Some of you may have heard the phrase; "You can tell the quality of a blacksmith's work by looking at his tools." That is because most tools are made by the blacksmith himself. I recommend you make your own tongs but if you need a set to get you started there is a guy that makes the CHEAP in my...
drivesitfar,
Unfortunately I can't use an inversion table. My son has one but my injuries include everything from my neck down to my left foot. I'm full of metal, broken back and several ruptured disc's (look like beef jerky according to Doc). My ankle can't handle it and the rest of me can't...
