But still if you had cuts on your hands I’d rather wash them in clean fresh water. Not something that may or should probably be treated.

Always worked great on my old Vw bug distributor cap to get rid of moisture. When I was younger and worked as a machinist we had drums of it and we would coat cast iron and steel machinery with it to keep from rusting when we were done machining them as we would pressure test our products under...
I have a small sherline mill and lathe. Both have CNC motors etc but the pc is old so I use them manually. I can do threads on them too but like I said, these are more for small scale things. I’d love to have a real machine shop though. My apprenticeship was in tool and die but I got side...
After the hole is corrected, you can use a scar plate set to change the door backset. They carry them at Lowe’s and Home Depot. They’re just big round discs that come in different finishes that cover a modified hole. Can also use a door reinforcement wrap that will cover it as well.

No residential keyless electronic Lock is gonna hold up that well. If you have a storm door it will help protect it but even at 40 degree and below temps they’re gonna have issues. Power bolt styles are the biggest ones that have issues but it’s usually because door alignment can change...
I’m assuming it was warning him about the low batteries with the extra beeps he just wasn’t aware that’s what was going on. I’ve installed a bunch of these and the only brand I’ve personally had a problem with was Masters push button deadbolt (which is now discontinued) and Masters would go...
I know some electronic deadbolts don’t have a key override but I always prefer the ones that do. Someone else said what I was thinking that it may have default to the factory settings. Other options are (if it’s a standard residential garage door) to “fish” for the garage door track release rope...
It’s kinda already been said but most locksmiths won’t have that particular blank in stock but can order it. To duplicate without one in front of them, they’d need measurements for the diameter of that rod , length from the end to the bow, and the depth and spaces of the cuts (from the center of...
That’s probably what happened but it was like that when I got it. It looked like it had never been used. It was from an acquisition company selling a bunch of things on eBay. But your absolutely right! Always let them cool down before turning off.

I’ve seen people use “Rubbermaid” or generic containers or lids just so they can use snips or pieces of the plastic for welding. It’s usually polypropylene, ABS or something common like that. If it’s changing color or turning brown your getting it too hot.

I have a Seelye hot air welder. I bought it on eBay and it was supposedly brand new but didn’t work and I secretly thought it was the fuse but it turned out the heating coil had been dropped and needed replaced. But still, with $150 total investment it was a steal. It had the built in air...
If I could make coin rings within 20 mins I might do them but to plan the size and make them look right it would take longer. I've looked into it. May try some this winter.
I make everything at $60 an hr. Snails are 12 minutes to make. So I sell them for $12. I don't charge for the material unless it's special request or I bought on eBay. Spoonrings are usually $20-$25. Sterling silver is a lot more expensive...
