Thanks! I thought about making some coin rings but I sell my spoon ring stuff and I can't make a coin ring cheap enough to compete with online retailers.

dang, mine only cost a quarter! I just used a regular quarter, popped the center out on the die block, tap tap tap on a ring mandrel, and polished it up. it turned out great but I took it off one night in the shop and forgot about it until like a month later and never found it. LOL...

I know the vids on youtube they use silver coins but for my first I didn't want to destroy any of my good coins...the newer ones actually look pretty good with the band of copper that ends up on the edges.

how long does it take to make one of those snails?

I make everything at $60 an hr. Snails are 12 minutes to make. So I sell them for $12. I don't charge for the material unless it's special request or I bought on eBay. Spoonrings are usually $20-$25. Sterling silver is a lot more expensive...

If I could make coin rings within 20 mins I might do them but to plan the size and make them look right it would take longer. I've looked into it. May try some this winter.
