you have an image of a double 2x4 column?

no issues with header just sizing width. contractors have looked at it and did not cite issues. no one to hire around here though...DIY

Not sure column is correct word. Have not been able to find any videos showing adding framing to account for narrower door / making opening skinnier. "If you are closing off the unused space " well i will probably put a slider in the left over space but was going to do that later

I need to add a column to my opening need to know correct width ? I have a 16' opening and 10' door so have to add column
