What kind of tools do you stage throughout your home?

I told the wife during my basement finish and remodel I wanted to install some airlines and quick connect fittings. I hate dragging a small compressor around and I thought a few hidden around would be beneficial, she said absolutely no. lol

plowing with riding mower. yay or nay?

I have a 54” Cub Cadet riding mower with a snow plow for winter. It’s 27hp and with chains on the back wheels has no problem with my 136’ driveway. Mine is concrete, so not sure how it would do on gravel. It would move snow, no problem but it could get all the way down due to the gravel. So...

    A simple air cooler drier

You have a nice set up and will hold more air as well. Here is a simile set up I made. Seems to work and the water filter at the end rarely sees moisture. https://instagram.com/p/BL97Ey8A_8J/

Framing Experts - How would you handle this?

IMHO basements look best with the least amount of walls and corners. So try to minimize them as much as possible. I would probably put in a full wall floor to ceiling for the cleanest look. You could probably put in a closet door with shelves or some sort of storage built in. This way it has a...

    Fiberglass insulation service temp limits?

Things to consider. When it is successfully insulated the smoker may reach higher temps compared to before. So are you planning to manage the temps actively to ensure it does not exceed 400 degrees. I had my smoker running a month back and tried some new applewood brickettes and it hit almost...

    Profusion 7,500 watt

I just bought a Porfusion 7500watt electric heater yesterday. I am also working to figure out how it needs to be hooked up. At 7500 watts, 240v, 31.3 amps, 25,589 BTU/hour. Instructions say it must be wired directly and with cooper only rated for at least 60 degrees (no plug). It also mentions a...

    Car wash bay

When I was younger I worked at a large dealership in town as the porter fetching and washing cars. They had an inside car wash bay and all it was, was a painted concrete block wall about 8 foot tall on one side and full wall on the other. Why not just get a pressure washer a concrete block wall...

    Anti-climb wall ideas

Looks like someone beat me to it but I was going to suggest carpet tack strips also. They are dirt cheap, low profile and hard to see from below and likely could be installed with just some masonry screws or nails. Heck construction adhesive would even do the trick.

    Garage door opener maintenance

After 12 years I finally hosed the chain down in wd40. I was amazed at how much noise it reduced.

Engineer stamped drawings for pole barn...

I bought online plans to build my house for like $600 and that was like for 5 full sets. $1600 seems high for something you could pretty much draw on your own. Just saying.

Plumbing- is this as dumb as it looks?

I have no problem with the horseshoe vent the op showed until I saw it tied back into the actual drain line. It needs to be cut off from the drains and the end needs to be connected to a vent for air only the ends up going up and out. What the op showed was wrong.
