    DIY wheel dollies

I can get some for you. Any particular angles you'd like? Unfortunately, I don't yet have the doors on the garage (they are on order), and the local power company has not yet (despite 6 months of phone calls) installed electricity to the garage. So, I can't do any night shots right now...

    DIY wheel dollies

I read too dang many reports where people said once they got their car on the cheap dollies, they had a heck of a time getting the car to move -- bad bearings, etc. Also, I had just epoxied my new garage's floor, and the idea of scraping poorly made wheels across the finish rubbed me the wrong...

    DIY wheel dollies

Hi all, I was looking around at wheel dollies, and anything that looked reasonably priced looked like cheap you know what. So, I figured I'd make my own. I mostly wanted them to place a '59 Corvette that I am going to restore on, so that I could move it around more easily. I started by...

First Coat of Epoxy down, and then .......

Hi all, I'm finally to the point of getting the epoxy down in my new garage. It's a 28x34, radiant floor heat building, with a ceiling height of 11 ft. After exhaustive surface prep, grouting the saw cuts, cleaning the ghosting stuff from the grouting, it was finally time to epoxy. I used...

    Insulating block foundation question

Hmm, I could actually get one of those propane tank style sets and spray the entire interior surface of the blocks--that would seal it up nice, I would think. Then I could throw a 1x pine board over it and drive it in with Tapcon screws.

    Insulating block foundation question

yeah, I thought about that-- that would be quite a few cans of expanding foam. Boris

    Insulating block foundation question

Hi all, I'm in the middle of building my 28 deep x 34 wide, freestanding garage. The garage has in-floor heat and has one course of block around the front half, and 4 courses around the back half (it's set into a slope). For the back half, I have 2" foam around the outside, and plan to fir...

New high lift conversion and Liftmaster installed

I just started construction on my new detached garage, and the door company quoted me $150 upcharge for high lift and Liftmaster. Of course, that's an upcharge from new install at the time of new install. They look great. I'm thinking it's definitely worth the extra $$. Regards, Boris
