I received my Amazon order today. I got this 2 pack as mentioned above for $16.99:

For the price, I am impressed. The magnet is pretty strong, light output is decent, and the light stays where you put it. This seems to work...
I went ahead and ordered 2 types of the inexpensive lights mentioned above, from Amazon. They have free returns, so not much risk. I appreciate the suggestions!

Thanks for that quick response, jdm5! Some of the lights that you linked to look interesting. I like the Aurora and the Super Nova. I edited my post to add that budget is not a huge factor. I would like to get a quality light. Sometime when you are in the shop and can note which lights you have...
I didn't know whether to put this here or in General Tools. :) And, I did search, but didn't come up with anything useful. :willy_nil
As I get older, I find that I need more light for everything! My shop is reasonably well lit, but I need some good task lighting for things like the drill press...
I built and installed a storage rack EXACTLY as you described in one of my storage trailers. The trailer has steel framing, so I used large self drilling screws through both walls of the uprights. My rack is loaded with conduit, aluminum and steel stock and all sorts of miscellaneous materials...
Thanks for all of the responses! Some good information and I appreciate it all.
I don't think my blower was super dirty, but cleaning it sure made a difference. It is working great. The coils look very clean, but I am sure they would also benefit from cleaning. I have always been pretty careful...
I have 3 Pioneer mini splits. I installed them all myself. I love them. The oldest, an 18,000 BTU is about 4 years old. It has started giving me a little trouble. I have noticed the compressor and condenser fan shutting down, even when the thermostat is stilling calling for cooling. Example...
I have a 36', 18 bulb, LED, color changing light string mounted on the center beam of my shop. I usually have them on red, white, and blue, but many colors and modes are available. Around $80 at Sam's Club. They make plenty of light to walk around in my 36'x50' shop. The positioning works out...
I just called BendPak. The "customer service" rep was zero help. When I explained my heights, he said that sounded about right. He said there is normally a 5-6" drop from max height to top lock. I questioned that, but he insisted that was correct. He could offer nothing to assist me.
Shorter...
That is interesting. I had not seen that chart before. If I adjust the ladders all the way up, I could get to about 79", so a bit short of the specs.
Thanks!
I really thought you were on to something here, but I just went and double-checked. It is already locking in the top holes. I sure would like to be where your lift is, dropping less than an inch to the first lock!
I guess I really should just call BendPak. Maybe they will be more helpful than...
The ladders are NOT as high as they will go, but they could only be raised about 1.75", which is not enough to solve my problem. I didn't want to shim the lift due to the afore-mentioned low clearance vehicle that goes on the lift. Also, I do occasionally move the lift with the casters and...
