Wondering if we have folks here who have attached an RV garage to their house. Would like to see some pictures for ideas. Currently, I have a 3 car garage on my house and would like to add an RV garage to it. The ceiling is 10' and the roof is hip all the way around. The RV garage needs a...
You both are validating my thoughts. Unfortunately, when I built Toy Haulers were just becoming a thing...the old 5th and traditional 5th wheels would fit. I might have to consider some form of a lean to on the side of the existing garage. It sure is nice to keep trailers out of the elements...
I'm considering buying a new Toy Hauler that would require me to add onto my garage. FYI, the inside ceiling height is 13' 10"...the trailer is 13'5". Additionally, the inside length is just short of 35', the new trailer is about 42'.
I've added a picture of the front of the garage for...
This is one of the coolest threads I've seen in a long time. I really love the stories and pictures. Vieux...you are an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Funny. My real name is Brad and favorite number is 7 also. With that, I'm not surprised that you've put some serious effort into making a nice garage as I have too. I'm in Bluffdale where we don't have to worry much about being too close to the property line as most of us have an acre or more...
After lots of waiting, lots of research, and saving a few bucks, I finally pulled the trigger on a new garage lift. Due to the size of my truck, I decided on a Bendpak HDS-14X. I won't have it for a couple weeks, but already feeling like a 7 year old at Christmas.
For anyone looking for a...
Thanks for your suggestion Bill. I would get a two post lift, but I'm also using it for storage. Unfortunately, I've found that 2000sf isn't a big enough garage.
HIRISC, I appreciate your reply. I appreciate all the replies to this thread. I guess I did leave plenty of questions that could affect my selection.
My truck is a F350 crew cab, long bed, and diesel. It is likely the heaviest vehicle that would ever go on the lift. I've heard it weighs...
I was just looking over some of my past threads and feel like I deserve everyone who shared their time and ideas with me a response of what I did. As noted in my first statement, I had two problems I needed to solve. One my new trailer was too long and too tall to fit into my garage. I solved...
My garage doors are 12' tall. My plans for the lift is to make it easier to work under my cars/truck...the Corvette is especially cumbersome. However, storage would be great also. 4 post is preferred. Budget is ~$4-$5K.
Thanks
I'm considering a lift for my garage. I have several cars that this would support. 2008 F350 4x4, 1980 Corvette, an Acura TL, Honda Accord, 1967 Camaro, and a Ford Escape. I need a lift that would support any of them securely and safely. The available garage space is 35' x 40' and 14'...
I had a Toro w/6.5hp GTS...loved it. It was about 7 years old when I thought I needed a new mower with the purchase of my new house. I went with the Honda and have regretted my decision ever since. It's not that the Honda is bad, it's that it is far from performing like my old Toro. BTW, 15...
