Another scenario that I've encountered recently is that the seller gets a lot of low ball offers and decides to increase the price. Seller said it's because they were getting too many low ball offers. I can't see why not just put that the price is firm.
He probably used a new email to get more "new customer" coupon codes. A lot of people have reported getting banned for doing that.
I've ordered an impact driver from them with no issues. I don't know how their return process is though. It's hard to beat Amazon's return process.
