Nohr-S: Awesome, but slippery, how to fix?

Facts: Installed a no-flake system in the Spring of 19’. Live in southeastern Wisconsin, timing due to temps is required 1 coat of primer, maybe 2 coats of gray, followed by 2 coats of clear Floor is roughly 950sqft... I mixed in the maximum recommended amount of anti-slip into the final...

Nohr S Install / Looks Good - Hasn't been tested yet

So, if you're a regular on these boards, you may have seen me post a few times regarding my flooring project and some of the questions I've had a long the way. Well, that time is here - The flooring is finally done (for the most part). Details: Roughly 950 sq ft. of newly poured concrete in...

Am I screwed with this acid etch? Nohr-S

Alright, so instead of doing another acid etch, I hit HD and scooped up a Clarke Floor Maintainer and Concrete Prep Tool from Diamabrush. After getting nowhere for almost 2 hours by trying to do it dry, I bit the bullet and added water. The grinding quality and speed changed instantly. But...

Am I screwed with this acid etch? Nohr-S

Not with baking soda right away... nope... rinsed with liberal amounts of water first. I’ve heard that it wasn’t necessary with a less potent acid like “phosphoric”. Instead, I just rinsed the hell out of it. I never thought it would need more than what I did... but I was obviously wrong. I...

Am I screwed with this acid etch? Nohr-S

I haven’t done anything yet... I’ve been too busy with work to dedicate any more time on it. Right now, every day I wake up the floor looks a little more white. It’s like more calcium is continuing to leach up to the surface. Also, I noticed some spots aren’t as porous as I’d like them to...

Am I screwed with this acid etch? Nohr-S

Scotty, Are you thinking the profile needs more work? Or are you saying I just need to remove more of that calcium? After searching through the threads here, I'm thinking grinding is more feasible than I originally thought and would most likely take care of any excess calcium, right? Is...

    Polyurea Coating Delay

Did you acid etch AND use the delta dye? I'm not familiar with the Delta Dye process but I too am using Nohr-S in the gray pigment. The reason I'm asking is that I too am acid etching and it looks similar to the picture of your floor with the white residue on it after acid etching it... Did...

Am I screwed with this acid etch? Nohr-S

Here are (2) more pictures the show the before and after of the pressure wash... What I woke up to this morning... After pressure washing (disregard the horses and trim - Had to bring it in from the rain and know I must vacuum again prior to coating)...

Am I screwed with this acid etch? Nohr-S

Here the situation: Brand new new home with garage floor poured 6-7 months ago. Never parked a car in it and kept it clean knowing I was going to coat the floor this spring. I'm moving forward with Nohr-S Polyurea from Legacy. I was going to go with just their clear, but, am now proceeding...

Pressure wash / then etch? Or vice versa

So I did some more reading on this... sounds like pressure wash and clean thoroughly, etch floor, neutralize the floor, and then rinse the heck out of it. Once you are sure ALL acid is rinsed from floor, then you can pressure wash again or use a green clean solution. That’s my plan. If anyone...

Pressure wash / then etch? Or vice versa

Popping off on some Clear Nohr-S here shortly. Planning on emptying out garage into storage pod (not terribly priced btw) and etching this weekend. Do I pressure wash, etch, and then rinse? I hear mixed reports on pressure washing afterwards. I’ve heard that you can pressure wash, but I’ve...

Add a light in middle of circuit

Marine man, You’re reading my post the way it was intended. My plan is to run Romex from light fixture #3 back to #2 and wire accordingly (pigtail within both boxes). So rather than a typical lighting circuit that’s almost in a perfect line with power running in parallel from fixture to...
