    Reinforcing/stiffening a camper trailer frame

Bringing this thread back from the dead, I'm curious if the OP ever got this accomplished and how it turned out. I bought an Rpod that I knew needed some other repairs and when I got it home I discovered the frame was buckled right behind the axle. I know I could repair the frame rails with...

    Snap on PDRR2005...Other options?

ebay would be the best to look for a good used sioux/ taylor/ jiffy/ dotco/ ingersoll rand/ chicago pneumatic "right angle aircraft drill" If use is very occasional you may get away with something like this adapter but its not as easy to work with. or a pancake drill adapter

    floor truss?

around here the truss places all make gable trusses with just vertical members so I don't think they carry the load the same way/as much as a regular truss does. I think you may be overthinking it a bit as you say its just a gable you are holding up... unless you plan on brick on the front of...

Can an M.E. answer this question for me?

no, I the numbers I gave you were for bending about the "y axis" which is correct for what you were asking about. you just have it laying on its side.. bending about the x axis is what it would be if you have it sitting vertically... in any case I think you are on the right track with either...

    Roof/Truss Questions

regarding cutting off the truss tails, yes you could do that to do what you are thinking of, but we are all trying to warn you that it could lead to less than desirable consequences.. Like how you tie the small roof on the right into the one you are proposing to add? if you do shingles you might...

Really need help installing & getting double closet doors to align correctly

if you just need a little bit of tweaking, I find that a couple pieces of thin cardboard (like from a cereal box) placed just so behind the hinge on the frame like a shim can correct misalignment like that.

    Roof/Truss Questions

Well I think you could do what you are saying, but it looks like there are a few issues with your plan that you would need to figure out. 1) looks like your AC fan will need to be moved and the dryer vent. Not sure if there is anything else going on in that corner (what is the white pipe coming...

    roof osb thickness

On houses (2ft truss spacing) we use 5/8" osb. if you have to use 7/16 then clips are required. I would suggest as others have said to run purlins or add more trusses. If you were to do a metal roof, you don't need sheeting, just purlins to screw the tin onto and it should outlast shingles....
