GOJO original formula hand cleaner, discontinued?

Right next to the pump GOJO I keep Tub O' Towels. Unless my hands are really crudded up, that's my go-to anymore. Good for wiping down forearms and face, too. https://www.tubotowels.com/

Does Your Body Hurt Less with a Lift?

When I was debating spending the money, I even made a spreadsheet with the different brands, shipping costs, and all the options. I knew to the penny how much it was going to cost me. Ten years later I couldn't tell you what it cost without digging up the old invoices.

    32x40 build in the Yukon

I'm over here in Fairbanks. Even if you don't plan to insulate the structure right now, get some insulation under the slab. You only get one chance to do it. I put 4" under mine and wish I had gone 6". What's your permafrost situation?

    8 or 9ft garage door? 30x32x10h.

My stock height Dodge 2500 with a Leer topper won't clear 8'. I went 10'

Pouring slab on top of existing slab

Since you said you're in the interior, something other folks here may not be aware of. Do you have any permafrost under or near your slab? Putting heat into an uninsulated slab could be a recipe for disaster.

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Joe's first ride on the 4-wheeler. I've got a long driveway (500') and it's a lot quicker to use the 4-wheeler rather than the tractor if it's a light snow. He was pretty good about sticking with me, so I figured it was good exercise to let him chase me back and forth at 20 mph. After about a...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Seven years ago today I bailed this guy out of doggie jail, brought him home, and gave him a name - Joe. He was left in the outside after-hours cages at the local animal shelter with no name and frostbitten ears. As far as I've been able to piece together, he was living on the streets for a...

Vapor barrier on the inside in the winter?

Any insulated wall or roof (no matter how thick) has a temperature gradient. In cold weather at some point along that gradient you'll reach the dew point. The purpose of a VB is to keep moisture on the warm side of that dew point so it doesn't condense/freeze.

Why my Garage door open/close by itself ?

Well, after 10 years, the other wall controller finally failed and went nuts. This time I knew exactly what was going on and had it fixed 48 hours later, via another replacement from Amazon. Figured I'd bump this thread up for anyone else dealing with the same problem.

Propane mosquito traps - effective? Can natural gas be used?

Living in mosquito-central, I bought a couple of SkeeterVacs a dozen years ago. We usually get a couple of hatches each year, with the first hatch being big and slow mosquitoes and the next hatch being the small, fast ninjas. The SkeeterVacs did pretty good at first, but over time were much less...

Free fill dirt loaded onto trailer

Sure. Just turn the trailer on it's side when you get home. Upside down would be even faster.

Setting up new garage. Best things you've done

Two simple lighting additions have proved their worth - emergency lighting and a motion sensor floodlight. Being plunged into pitch black darkness in the shop during a power outage is no fun. Having a motion sensor light means not having to turn on a full bank of overhead lights when you run...

Car lift - is it worth it when you're old

Personal experience - I disagree. I find it makes it a lot easier. Makes it easy to pull a seat if needed and, if you lift the car a bit off the ground, then getting under the dash isn't any harder than laying down on the couch. Even though I'm a big guy, thirty or forty years ago I could still...

    LED replacements for T8s

It does. Thanks. If I was doing an initial install, pulling the ballasts on a workbench would be no big deal. But converting 2 dozen fixtures working upside down on a 12' ceiling isn't very appealing. eta: Somewhere I read that the low draw of Type As can actually extend the life of ballasts...

    LED replacements for T8s

That's something I haven't been able to find good info on - what is the efficiency comparison between ballast and ballast-bypass? Does anyone have hard numbers?
