If they're these, make sure they actually turn off. I have several and there's a faint glow when they're "off" until I pull the plug.

Oh, yes, it does reset with the tester. Both the built-in test button, and the plug-in tester. Even if I turn the breaker off, then back on (simulating a power outage), the outlet does not come back on until I press the reset button. I may just replace the breaker with a GFCI breaker and put...

Cheap as in it's a brand name, lol. Not the 20A paladins I got for $8.50 each. I got the Eaton on clearance at Lowe's for $5, but msrp is $15

I have one GFCI receptacle in my garage that needs to be reset every time the power goes out or flickers from a storm or whatever. It's the only one, and I know I should just replace it, but is this a common thing? It's a 15A Eaton, so it's not a cheapie. Strangely enough, the cheapies I have...

I think that's the best option, and what I'll most likely be doing whenever I get around to it. :thumbup:

I use SmartThings and for bulbs, I have both Osram Lightify and Sengled. Never had a problem with either. I have a bunch of other things on the system as well: thermostat, motion sensors, temperature sensors, whole-home energy meter, garage door controller, etc. It's a great system!

I thought of that, but for some reason I thought it wouldn't work. I may just have to try it and see what happens.
