    Craftsman 19.2v C3 Fans

I just grabbed a used Craftsman C3 Inflator used off eBay, its really great. Just looking for a battery for it. The Lowes website doesn't list any online, and I can't check the stock at local stores online. I'd fine with a decent generic one if they are nay good. Any suggestions on where you...

    Looking for Planer recommendations....

Thanks for all the replies. I’ll look up building a dust collection for it. The thing is he doesn’t have a garage and it’s in a basement. There is no lugging this outside for him, and having it sit in a corner is using up valuable space for something he hasn’t used much. The other problem is...

    Looking for Planer recommendations....

My Dad's looking to make room in his shop and looking for a more portable planer to replace his 12" Belsaw planer he has. The 12" Belsaw he has is great, but his workshop is in a basement and it made a huge mess everytime he used it and he just doesn't really have the room. He would rather have...

    Looking for suggestions for Micrometer....

Thanks for all the replies, that gives me some ideas. I actually took drafting in HS and remember how to read a Verneer, although I doubt I trust my eyes like I used to look at those little lines on the scale :-) Nothing I need to measure is or that scale anyway, but the more I think about it...

    Looking for suggestions for Micrometer....

I have gone through 3 Amazon and HF Micrometer's and looking for a decent one. They seem to always have no battery power left when I grab them or the buttons stop working. The $20 digital ones are always junk. I am not a machinist I just need something in metric and English that can measure...

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

My Dad started his Craftsman 5169 restoration project without a new base. Just a few quick questions.... 1.) What type of screws do you use to attach the jaws to the vise? The old ones seem like they should be replaced, we can use the old ones, but the heads are semi-stripped. It seems like it...

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

Any way to fix vintage Craftsman #5169 Vise

Re: Any way to restore vintage Craftsman #5169 Vise? Thanks, thats a great idea. I hadn't even considered that. He found a way to mount it so is swivels 90deg, so it can be used. It's just has to be mounted a little weird, ie not as it was designed to be mounted. Its just not worth restoring...
