    Brazing question or two.

Thanks for the input MottsRods. The manifold system that the AGA people are installing for us will regulate the pressure down the 100 psi. We don't for see any need to go higher than 100 psi for the experiments we are conducting now or in the future. The nitrogen will be used as a purge for the...

    Brazing question or two.

No problem e-tek, I get that type of response when I tell people the type of stuff we do here at the lab. Not too many people know what goes on inside a lab like this, mostly research on a theoretical basis but the group that I work with is R & D. Lots of hands on and I get to put it all...

    Brazing question or two.

Sorry about that, e-tek, I probably should have said that the boss is really a scientist and I am the technician that has to make his ideas fly. I do have ability in the soldering, welding areas, just not that much in brazing. I posed my questions as a way of getting some advice about which way...

    Brazing question or two.

We have some experiments here at work that are under a Nitrogen purge, from initial warm up of the furnace to cool down. The furnaces run at 1100 degrees C. and the experiments can take days. We are using nitrogen at an alarming rate, so the boss wants me to connect from a dewar manifold panel...

No new projects in the near future. Maybe some home improvement projects. Ceiling fans, sliding glass door from the dining room to a deck. Fun stuff!

    Couple of fun projects

My nephew, John, needed a lighted mirror frame for booth at an upcoming restaurant show. This is what we put together. A few pieces of wood nailed together and some lights installed and it looks great. John also needed a bar for his garage parties. So he picked up a small piece of counter top...

2 pics of the new Cabinets INSTALLED..

Snorvet, I have seen the center pull paper towel dispensors and the paper refills like that at the local Sams Club in the restaurant supply area, and I have seen them at GFS (Gordon Food Service) in Joliet. Of course, I got mine free!

    Another Epoxy-Coat Project

Snorvet, did you ever get the darkened spot off the floor? I've cleaned some old spots in my garage with brake clean before. I know that NAPA stores have concrete cleaners available also.

    Today's the day for lighting

I asked about the lights that you are looking to use and was told that Lowes may have them. I didn't do any research into it though. Have you checked with Englewood in Rockdale?

    Today's the day for lighting

How many light fixtures are you going to use? I have a 24' x24' garage similar to yours and wondering how many fixtures, to pick up for my garage. I think you said in early posts that you use this garage as storage? Would you use more light fixtures if the garage was also a workshop?
