    Torque Wrenches

Check out FB Marketplace or Ebay etc., there are some good deals on used. Lots of people, myself included are moving to digital and selling their old but very high quality used split beam and click type wrenches which means there are many professional level tools in your price range. Nothing...

Opportunity to buy a Snap-On 1/2" TechAngle cheap

Thank you all for your replies! They actually helped me decide. I just texted my friend and told him ill take it. Hopefully he still has it. A few comments that helped me make make my decision: Per one poster, even if i need it for a single job, ill be spending more for a lesser product...

Opportunity to buy a Snap-On 1/2" TechAngle cheap

I have an opportunity to purchase a 1/2" Snap-On TechAngle from a friend at a great price ($200). Its barley seen use, which is why my friend is selling it. Normally I would have snapped this up (no pun intended) but I already have a 3/8 TechAngle and a 1/2 SK USA clicker (which i barely use)...

    Polisher Recommendation

You will be fine with a dual action polisher. The higher end ones like Rupes and Flex are well outside of your price range, even used. You may find a PC or Griots used, but new will cost about $100 more than your budget. The HF polisher gets good reviews and at your price point may be the best...

Flare nut and crowfoot flare wrenches

I, like you don't use my crowfoot flare nut wrenches often. I went with the Asto sets. They work fine and have held up good even with loaning them out to a couple of ham fisted friends. At about $50 for a 15pc set (metric) in a case its a pretty good value.

    Soldering Iron? Home use...

I have both. I did a bunch of research when buying my soldering station and went with the Hakko. I liked several features on the Hakko FX-888D soldering station vs the comparable Weller, but really you cant go wrong with either.

Harbor Freight, Braun Lights Any Good ???

I have 2, great lights. Good magnets, great flexibility and I really like the small pinpoint light on the end. I use an old cell phone charger and it works great.

Anyone ever bought tools from Mister Worker?

I just got an order filled from them. Like others have said, good prices but slow delivery. I received my shipment exactly 1 month from when I placed the order. Shipping was not bad and I paid with a credit card with no foreign transaction fees just in case they charged in euros. I’ll order...

    Tools of Japan

Looking for a new 1/4" long handle ratchet. What are your opinions between the standard KTC and Koken (not Zeal or Nepros). Both are about the same cost, ~$45 at Franks.

Give me your thoughts on 1/2" ratchets

Williams S-52EHA Enclosed Head Ratchet. For some reason the long handle and flex head are all about the same cost as the standard ratchet on Amazon. I have the flex and it is a very nice ratchet. Only 36 tooth (old Snap On 936 design) but for a 1/2" its not a big deal to me. Make sure you get...

    Echo CS-590 or similar chainsaw.

I have a 590, I ordered it with a 24” bar and got an Oregon 20” bar from Amazon. Great saw. It is a bit heavy, but I also have a Sthil ms250 for smaller work. It’s tough to get Both power and light in one saw. The 590 with 20” is my primary, I use the 24” bar for big stuff and the sthil for...

Buying German Tools from... well... Germany (to save cash)

I just ordered some Stahlwille sockets and tools from Mister Worker. I placed a small $60 order to see how the process would go before i place a big order. Prices were very good and shipping was not bad. Ordering process was just like any other e-commerce site. I got an order conf but have not...

    Ratchet insight, anyone?

My take on your question is basically what is our favorite ratchet price not withstanding. For me it is my SO D80 3/8" long handle flex. it is my most flexible (no pun intended) ratchet and is a pleasure to work with. Leverage of a 1/2" ratchet, large range of socket sizes, flex head, and smooth...
