Well…de-rusted with vinegar (pros and cons), filed and sanded outside portions but left the recessed area pitted for a nice textured look…then blued it with Birchwood-Casey Perma Blue. 👍 Thanks Mike…Don’t contract out just since I’m a rookie, that was my first resto and mistakes...

    That’s some clampage right there buddy! If it were mine, I’d clean it up good, file/sand where needed then go for a “new from the the store” look with a gloss, light gray paint. The other ones ya have there look great too!

    Thanks! I saw some of the same on eBay but should have used Brick Red instead of Apple Red (Rustoleum) and that’s satin but should have gotten matte. I’ll try that steel wool lightly on the handles.
