I don't know if you have it bolted down yet Frank, but if you have a mind to, I'll trade you my little craftsman vise for your craftsman light.

    Craftsman Drill Press

I got number 5 today Frank. :D I've been on the lookout for a bench top model, and Craigslist was good to me today. It's in pretty good shape with the old craftsman bullet style motor, and a Vari-Slo in what looks to be pristine although dusty condition. I was also lucky enough to get a...

    Craftsman Drill Press

I haven't replaced the bearing yet. You think I should? It seems ok so far, but it's probably pretty cheap and I do still have it apart. I was thinking of the white lithium grease but I'll consider your suggestion. Auto parts store?

    Craftsman Drill Press

I have that same wet wheel stone grinder Frank. Mine's pretty rusty. Might get to it eventually. I did take some pics of my table crank mechanism taken apart. It came apart fairly easy, but I was very patient with it. A lot of clean up on this one, but it came out very nice. The greese in it...

    Craftsman Drill Press

I can't keep up with you Frank, but I'm trying. :) I got #4 today for 75 bucks. It has a table lift. Model 100 with tall column. I saw your pic of the lift gear box. Did you pull yours apart and replace bearings? Mine the grease was so hard it wouldn't turn. Got it free, but was...

Craftsman 150 Drill press - Speed pully question

Got it all together, painted, and new belts. I got the speed adjustment pully in, but it's got a wobble to it. Have to figure that out. :| Looks like I might not have the pulleys quite lined up between the middle and front too.

Craftsman 150 Drill press - Speed pully question

I'll give it another shot this weekend sometime. I should have my paint and reassembly done later toady. I'll post some pics when I get it. Went with a bright yellow on mine. :) Oh, you were right I think about the columns being banged at the end causing the size difference. I measured in...

Craftsman 150 Drill press - Speed pully question

I do have another question for you. I have 3 of these things, and can't seem to get the chuck off any of them. Any advice or tips on removal and restoration?

Craftsman 150 Drill press - Speed pully question

Firstly, thanks for the more than thorough post. All good info and much appreciated Frank. You hit it with the first swing. I put the column in upside down when I cleaned it up. Bottom is reamed and fits perfectly. Many thanks sir!

Craftsman 150 Drill press - Speed pully question

Hey Frank, have you noticed column outside diameter differences? My 150 seems fatter than the 100's by a tad. I was trying to put my speed adapter into the 150 and found that the inside diameter wasn't wide enough. :willy_nil I looked at the 100 it came out of and that one appears to have...

    Old Wood Wizard motor

t looks like a really well built motor and I want to restore it to life. It runs, but makes just a little noise. Wondering it's age, and anything else someone might know about it. Pics attached.
