I have a 12x30 shed that I had spray foamed with open cell foam, the air vents up top were sprayed over as well. Getting ready to start putting walls up to finish it. My question is should I put a vapor barrier up before I put the walls on? Shed will only be heated or cooled when in use, rest of...
Well its all done. Decided that i didnt need 240 out there. Only have one 15amp circuit for lights and two 20amp circuits with 4 outlets on each circuit. Popped the trip bar off the double pole breaker, used one side for my 120v hot. Used a jumper in the sub pannel to make both lugs hot. I used...
Trying to get power to a shed. Picked up a square d 70amp lug load center. Ran the conduit today and wired every thing up inside. Went to wire the service wire and think i made a mistake on choosing the wire. 8/2 is was i bought thinking i could run just 120 out to it on a 40amp breaker. Well...
Im not upsizing for voltage drop. Manual calls for a 40 amp breaker on the compressor. 8/2 is 40 amp wire, why i went with it. Could i have run 10/2? Most likely. Welder calls for a 50amp breaker with 10/2 min wire size. So i figure if im buying 8/2 i might well just get enough for both
I took a piece with me to lowes. The only thing that fit good was the 1/2 conduit fittings. But they dont have much of a lip to hold the anti short bushing in place
Got home, and the motor reads 5hp 21amps. Im assuming they got there numbers from start up draw. Plus an unheated garage, even with synthetic pump oil it starts slow.. maybe i could have gotten away with 10/2. But the 8/2 was 10bucks more for a 50ft roll.
Hobart ironman. Manual calls for 50 amp breaker with 10g wire. Compressor calls for 40amp breaker and 8/2 wire. Bought a roll of 8/2 mc to save money and use on both
