    Sill Seal - Y or N

Don't see how that would effect the top plate, window opening right?, opening is always a bit larger than the window to allow for shims/fitting, and there is no connection to the cripple in question to the top plate, just doesn't make sense it will "raise" the top plate. Framing isn't fine...

Jet/Wilton 8201 bandsaw no low speeds

Here's the clutch dog disengaged, comes to a hard stop in this position, should it come out farther? Also its interesting the roll pin goes into a blind hole so no punching it out from the other side. Still hoping for an easy fix before I open the gear box up. thanks edit: roll pin can be...

Jet/Wilton 8201 bandsaw no low speeds

I just bought a barely used Wilton 8201 14" Wood/Metal Bandsaw, which is the same as the current Jet 8201. Motor is running fine, belts and pulleys spinning, blade/wheels turning with clutch pushed in the high speed position, all is good. With the clutch knob pulled out(clutch disengaged)...

auxillary ground bar in main panel, need to bond it to neutral bus bar

Yep first main disconnect, would a bonding jumper to the neutral bus be detrimental, other than being redundant? I get how the screw threads through the chassis will bond the aux, but I'd feel better on not relying only on that contact. Largest EGC landing on the aux bar will be #12cu, thinking...

auxillary ground bar in main panel, need to bond it to neutral bus bar

I'm adding an auxillary ground bar(will only land EGC on it) in main panel to free up a few neutral terminations on the neutral bus bar, do I need to bond it to the neutral bus bar? I think it should be bonded to the neutral for the breakers to work correctly. thanks, Brian

    Yet another slab/pad question

Yes I've been thinking what else to pour, have a few ideas. It is a small load and accordingly a little pricey, I'm only doing the pump and ready mix because of the convenience and the time and effort it will save me given the location, at 71 I don't have the strength/energy I once had...

    Yet another slab/pad question

This is regarding a hot tub pad(not necessarily shop related but right next to my small back yard shop! Shop is raised floor on piers) so if this isnt appropriate for this forum please delete. Site of pad is 125' +- from the street; I'm having a pumper because the elevation is around 30' higher...

    Compressor won't build pressure mystery

I recently bought a used Sears 60gal compressor, had a leaking head gasket so I replaced it. I ran it to test and it was up to 80psi when i shut it down, no air leaks. A day later I ran it and the tank pressure gauge stayed at 0, since the gauge was oem and pretty beat I bought and installed a...

    Metal Conversion Charts, Tap Charts...etc

Tap drill size calculator If you don't have a chart/card for this it's kind of a cool trick: Newman Tool's handy hint. For Metric sizes only. Diameter of thread minus the pitch equals the tap drill size. eg. M6 x 1 6 - 1 = 5mm and you thought metric was difficult ;-)thanks to Jay Steinbuchel...
