    In-floor safe condensation

I’m also gonna say if you didn’t put some kind of thermal barrier between the pvc and ground you’re always going to have issues. The moment you open the safe it’s going to pull in humidity and it will condensate. The cooler the ground compared to the air temp the more condensation you will get...

    SDS Drill for 5/32 holes?

Yes it is will work. I purchased a smaller Hilti SDS drill to drill about 5000 5/32 holes in cinder block. Worked great, just a bit heavy for all day use. BTW - here is the same 25 pack of bits I purchased. Best price around and went through maybe 10 during the project. They hold up great...

    V notch in vise jaws

Make a set of soft jaws out of aluminum, brass, or even mild steel. Swap them out when needed. Back in my toolmaker days I made many sets of soft jaws for machinist vises when I needed to hold something special.

    Things that make you go.....ummmmm....

It was a job that I didn't know he had done(I didn't try keeping track of them either, I had my own job and was busy enough), and our manager forgot about. I usually followed him up anyway installing airlines, venting, and other items needed for a particular machine, this power drop didn't...

He wasn't union when working here. Though I did notice on his Facebook that he updated his employment and is now the IBEW's problem.

    Things that make you go.....ummmmm....

This was installed probably 6 months ago, he's been gone for 2 months, I just happened to find it yesterday when doing other work. Also look close at the middle of the picture(sorry it got a little pixelated during upload), there IS a Kellum grip installed BETWEEN the Jbox and coiled cord that...

    Things that make you go.....ummmmm....

We HAD an in house electrician at work, licensed journeyman BTW, that apparently didn't understand the reason for cord grips on SO cord drops. This picture is of a brand new cord drop he installed that I just happened to find today. Notice the unused beam clamp hook just inches away that he...

Was it legal to use 14 gauge wire on 20amps in the past.

No idea about the past, but are you certain they were originally 20amp breakers? Some unknowing homeowner could have switched out the breakers to twenties at some point.

Trusty-Cook, the Birth of White Hammers

Odd, I've abused the hell out of some deadblow hammers, never had a problem with shot falling out, other than a cheap China POS that busted open after a few whacks.

6 point vs. 12 point sockets

Of course. But when I already have 12's and only a few random times a year does a square head pop up I'll stick with what I got.

6 point vs. 12 point sockets

The only area I try to use a 12 point socket is on square head bolts. They work great.
