    protect your eyes!!!

Just my luck... Yesterday I walked into a long piece of oak baseboard I had sticking out of the back of my truck at home. I somehow managed to land my eyeball perfectly on the piece of wood and ended up back at the ER. Same eyeball I injured years ago... <sigh>... Vision is back to normal...

    protect your eyes!!!

One thing I don't understand is how the handful of jerkoffs at my shop who NEVER wear glasses (one guy even cuts with the torch whilst unprotected!) don't ever have a problem. You'd think that my experience would have taught them something or time would have caught up with them, but no. I still...

    protect your eyes!!!

Dang, jakeb, your nearly exact scenario happened to me about a year or two ago. I had just broken the tip off of a pick and needed to stick it in the grinder for just a split second then BANG. 1 ER trip, 4 or 5 eyeball grinds with the doctor's fancy Dremel for the next week equaled a lifelong...

    Question SK Or Craftsman?

So then are these sets from the entity that I hear brought SK back from the dead? I was so pissed when I found out SK had gone out of business and thought the Lifetime Warranty period was all over. And my experience with both brands: I've broken a tons of Craftsman stuff and hardly any SK...

Such warm welcomes, thanks guys. I'm liking it here even more. So do toolboxe pics and such go in these intro threads or mainly the "show off stuff here" threads?

    Home Depot, Gorilla Grip Gloves

I might have to give them a try. I've been using similar gloves at the shop for a few months now and I don't want to touch a car anymore without em. I've even started to regrow hair on wrists. Made by Gojo, cloth glove with nitrile palm, very breathable, quite nice...

Show off your tubular projects here.

I feel silly to add this following the gorgeous projects already posted, but it is a form of tubing. Here is a little something I whipped up for the girlfriend to get myself out of the doghouse after a horrible birthday present earlier this year. It's 3/16" copper brake line I soldered...

Sometimes My Tool...is a Pen and Pencil!

Very, very nice. I'm particularly fond of the Grand National picture as I have one in the garage that's been on time out for about 8 years now.

    First brake flush ever (Unintentional!!!)

Brake lines do ****. Congrats on getting her done though. And lots of domestic cars have been using metric threading all over for a very long time. A bit more convenient when it comes to nuts and bolts IMO.

Howdy strangers, I've lurked long enough and hate the build threads where I'm not allowed to view pics so I figured its time to join the community. This has definitely become one of my favorite internet sites since I stumbled across it months ago. My name is Morgan. I'm an auto mechanic, or...
