Racedeck has too many nooks & crannies for stuff to get lost in. cvairwerks is right, primers and spilled powder, Detent balls, springs, C clips, E Clips, screws, pins, etc. all need to be found and retrieved / cleaned up easily. Smooth is fast.

Used conveyor belting is good too. We use it for bench mats as well. Drill holes in the rubber and use a few strategically placed zip ties to keep the rubber in place on the bottom of the jack stand so that the rubber moves with the stand.
