Thanks for the comments, but I'm going to pass. It is a 3hp motor, but the condition of the compressor and tank are unknown. No telling what is causing it to trip the breaker, really don't want to be buying a problem. Hell, it might be have full of water and never has been drained!
Have a friend who wants to get rid of a Dayton 4B236 and wants me to make an offer. I have no clue on the worth of this compressor. He bought it used a few years ago, ran fine when he bought it, but he said the motor went out.
He got a new motor and says it will trip when it gets hot...

Post 33 is what I did. I used two relays, one for garage lights, the other for perimeter lighting. Works great!
Thanks captaindiode for the link, I believe one of those seals will work. It cools fine as is, but I'm sure it is leaking cold air. I need to replace it now before the whole seal dry rots off the door.
I have a 1950 International Harvester fridge that has been in my family since it was bought new. My mother's parents bought it new to put in their house, then they sold it many years later to my father's parents and it ended up in their garage as a beverage (beer) fridge. I acquired it in my...
I would do what Cyberbear states.....tee off main water line before it enters your house, that keeps you from coming off from a hose bibb on the house.
I'm going to install osb on the walls and ceiling in my detached garage with a rusty Tin wainscoting and cedar batten board to cover the seems. I trying to go with a durable rustic look.
A few weeks ago I was shopping at Sam's and stumbled across a Simpson 4000psi pressure washer they had marked down from $750 to $390, new in box. They had it marked down because of two holes in the box, I checked it out and everything was there and no damage. Just for the hell of it, I asked...
Here's what I did....
I installed two relays with Chamberlain remote switches with the key fobs to control the T8 garage lights and the perimeter lights around the garage and house. I have two liftmaster 8500s that are programed into the controller remote ( button 1= wife's door, button 2= my...
Helped my cousin build a deck in Texas last year with PT decking and the debate was to space or no space. He spaced them (can't remember the gap) and ended up with a large space 6 months later. He had to remove and space them again after they dried and shrank.
I would say **** them.
After garage sale, kid sports, and life in general, I'm finally able to start wiring my garage! Got all my supplies (minus light fixtures), but I'm sure I will make a Home Depot run because I forgot something.
Let the WORK begin!!
I do not know much about pavers and substructure, but I have seen a concrete base with edges poured and pavers laid on a layer of sand. I would think the problem with this setup would be drainage, no place for the water to drain.
