snap on ct4f light bulb help

I think mine takes a 6614F bulb. I realize that this is digging up a fossil thread but Google points to this and I didn't see the part number in the other replies.

    Shop Towels, Whatcha Use

I stop in at the local UniFirst place (uniforms, rugs, towels, etc.) and buy boxes of the damaged red shop towels and white bar towels. The bar towels can be lint bombs depending on age and damage but they soak up things way better than the red shop ones and don't have that pervasive solvent...

Left hand thread light bulb socket

Why not just solder some wires to the base? Then you would only need a non conductive / heat resistant holder instead of a special socket. It could be a little tedious to change bulbs, but hey, they were free. Just my two cents.

    Hanging ceiling extension reel?

Cut a piece of wood, bevel and paint to match if you wish, and bolt it across the two studs. Mount your reel anywhere on the new piece of wood.

Some six inch so socks on cl

Used to make custom order sockets like that for Matco at the shop I worked in. The last one I remember weighed about 58 lbs. Huge thing but was ordered with a 1" drive. We double checked that spec and still couldn't quite believe it. Shipped it out to somewhere in Alaska. No idea what we...

Snap-on - What was this part of?

Thanks for the info Bart. Well...not sure what to do with it now. My cables walked off on their own a few years back.

Snap-on - What was this part of?

Can't remember what went with this / what this was part of. Do you know? The sticker says Snap-on YA172.

Are there adapters to allow use with regular size drivers (1/4 3/8 1/2) ?

    Ridgid shop vac dis-assembly question

Gentle doesn't cut it. It was most definitely stuck. The hex was so full of impacted whatever that I could not tell that it was not a solid shaft until the pick set was broken out last night. The 1/4" impact zips nuts like that right off, just like the 1/2" does alternator pulleys, so I didn't...

    Ridgid shop vac dis-assembly question

Thanks Nehog. You posted while I was typing (and perhaps getting a sandwich). Is my spacer the same as your thrust washer? I didn't see an allen bolt, just: -a regular hex nut -a flat washer -the impeller -the spacer

    Ridgid shop vac dis-assembly question

The insertion of this vac into the trashcan is tempting but it does still work, surprisingly enough. I didn't need to buy a new one as I have two others and just wanted this one to become a semi-permanent part of another project. But, most importantly, I am stubborn, bull headed and, to...

    Ridgid shop vac dis-assembly question

Welcome to my current little rescue project. A Ridgid model WD16350 16 Gallon 6 Hp wet/dry vac. This vacuum was abused by the previous owner. They ran it with no float or filter and kept it outside. They also, apparently, thought that cleaning out whatever vile funk it was used to clean up...

Do you keep tools in the plastic boxes they came in?

Acquired about 15~20 cases after a local business flooded. Tried the knife bit. Didn't work out so hot for me. A cut out tool, however, works great. Just make sure to leave enough of a lip around the edges or your case will be like jello. You can always cut off more, so be generous at first...

Looking for info on old Snap-on socket

Thanks Snapmom. Is there a way to look up things like this on line? I have snap on tools where I have been lucky enough in the past to 'afford' them or find a good deal. I buy loose ones here and there but have a bit of trouble identifying them sometimes. Not really wanting to bug folks with...

Looking for info on old Snap-on socket

Nothing fancy. Just wondering the approximate age, equivalent new part # and cost/value in fair shape. Not having much luck searching for info. My Google-Fu is not strong today. The markings are: Snap-on PM 16 USA 1/2 It is a 1/4" drive 6 point 1/2". Black oxide finish I think (bit filthy...
