    Remline Intermediate Tool Chest

Yeah, the box was missing a logo badge. Made those on my Cricut.

    Remline Intermediate Tool Chest

I ran a professional bicycle shop in the 80’s. Most of the bicycling stickers are from that era. Did you see the “Superbe Pro” sticker with a hang glider on it? That is also a Suntour sticker. Superbe Pro was their top end bicycle components.

    Remline Tool Box Badge

Thanks. My wife bought the Cricut and has never used it. I have enjoyed making all kinds of stuff with it.

    Remline Intermediate Tool Chest

For years now I have been searching for a Remline Intermediate tool chest. I needed more storage capacity so I finally bought a used “no name one” off FB marketplace. The size was right so it will have to do for now. Still bugs me that the handles are so different. The good thing is the...

    Remline Tool Box Badge

I purchased my Remline 6 drawer top box back in the late 1970’s. It has held up okay but the chrome in the logo badge has worn off. I tried “chrome paint” pens but was dissatisfied. Today I bought some shiny “chrome” vinyl at Michael’s. Once home, I made a duplicate Remline logo and stuck it...

    Blackhawk near vintage ratchet

I spent an hour this morning rebuilding and cleaning my older Blackhawk ratchet wrench. As a teenager my first socket wrench set was a cheapo. When the ratchet died, I went to my local Carquest and bought this Blackhawk as a replacement. During the 1970’s I purchased most of my better tools...

    Grandpa’s ratchets and other tools

That is beautiful. I would not do anything out of fear of losing the engraving.

    Grandpa’s ratchets and other tools

The oldest I have is an adjustable wrench from the early 1900's that belonged to a great-grandfather. This ratchet is not super old, probably from the 1990's.

    Grandpa’s ratchets and other tools

Hey everyone, like many of you I have tools that once belonged to my father, grandfathers, and even a great-grandfather. These are not display tools or shelf displays but tools in my collection for use. I feel like it is honoring my family by keeping them in use. Every time I use a vintage...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Here is my old vise. Came out of a bike shop where I worked in the late 70's: Greensboro's Toga Bike Shop. Recently I removed it from my bench and discovered the pivot bolt had come loose. Rebuilt it and gave it a rattle can quickie repaint.

    What's your workbench look like?

Not as fancy or as organized as most here but special to me. My grandfather built this bench out of true dimension 2x8 oak boards back in the 50's. All I did was repainted the lower part--it was industrial grey.

    What's your workbench look like?

Nothing fancy like the others. It is special because my Grandfather built it
