Things are changing.
I just put this in my 30x40x14 metal building with vinyl insulation.
I am beyond happy. I had it installed in a Saturday afternoon (including framing the "window") for $699 + wiring $100.
Has "smart" controls and energy monitoring. The only negative so far is no heat option...
It wouldn't be very useful to me for steel but definitely for aluminum.
I have cut all sorts of AL on my table and miter saws with regular wood carbide blades.
As usual don't cut your fingers off, wear safety glasses and everything else is fine.
If it has internal switches yes other wise you will just have to jog it with a momentary reversing switch.
If it has no limit switches you can use automatic circuit breakers to stop the travel if you oops but not if you are using and on-off-on switch.
Make sense?
Fabrication around a 9" with a mild steel housing will be much simpler than a 7.5" S-10 axles.

Doesn't the manual switch lever dump the air when you switch it off. My
Ingersol does. The tank check valve holds the air in the tank as the manual shut off dumps the air to the head via that 1/4" copper line.
If it is a go at 200 then I kind of think we should just pay the full amount...
I also think you should have a couple extra units as spares for parts etc.
A DOA or early hour failure will really leave a bad taste.
