    Also, be aware that the greater the deflection of the beam the greater the tendency for the load to move toward the center of the supports. This can result in your load moving on it's own as it "rolls downhill".

    I am aware of that. The strength of Grade 2 bolts is more than adequate. I found some flange bolts with locking nuts that will look much better than the mis-matched hardware that I had in my bins.

    Here's my 400 lb capacity bridge crane using barn door rail and a 3 x 5.7 lb I-beam. It's not quite finished. I need to build some stops, install an electric hoist, paint or powder coat it and change to grade 8 hardware.

    I bought my 6 x 6'8" rollup door from http://www.steeldoordepot.com/garage-door-type/Roll-Up It's operated with a motor and remote but no chain. Even without the motor it's light enough to open by hand.
