Gedore wrenches sold in Germany are made in Germany, not India. They are an industrial tool. They own the largest forges in Remscheid, Germany also (going off of memory). While not as “pretty” as the premium Taiwan wrenches, they are robustly built. Note, I don’t think my recent Hazet...

The corporate disconnect is often vast, and unfortunate when you cannot get product development to talk to the marketing team… Hats off to Milwaukee for understanding their customer and end-user. DeWalt needs to do better. I see Milwaukee growing and DeWalt faltering. This was not always so.

Indian made tools of that era usually had very poor plating, bad finishing/media blasting, improper broaching, poor heat treating and lots of flashing left over from the forge. I have a few Gedore India wrenches and they are worse than Pittsburgh.

Interested in your feedback on those if indeed the tooth count is higher than what they previously offered. They really need to modernize / get with the times if they want their products to remain relevant outside of sockets and wrenches.

The Wright ratchets have a mechanism and low tooth count from ~ 50 years ago in nearly all cases, last I checked. I have not found them to perform better than modern ratchets from Taiwan.

Maybe for industrial users the Wright ratchets are acceptable, but the Taiwanese ratchets from Gearwrench and Icon I find to be far superior, and generally available at a lower price-point, too.
