I've been really happy with my skeletool. It's easy one hand open blade making an assisted open knife unnessessary, it is small and sits deep in your pocket with the clip, and has a great screwdriver with replaceable bits. Tough to beat.
I was just thinking about the insulation comment someone said earlier.
We get a bit colder here, so it may not be too much of an issue for you. At my last house we had an uninsulated room in the basement and it wasn't very pleasant in the winter. Frost would even form on the parts of the...
I did see the video, which looked very cool, but I'm definitely hooked into seeing this through to completion now. Hopefully with a video of Owen pushing a huge pile of snow with a yellow powder coated blade on it.
Dang, I just spent the last two hours reading this great thread hoping to see the final product. Now I have to wait with baited breath like the poor bastards who have been following from the begining! :-)
Very cool project. When she's completed, I think an antique tractor pull demonstration...

Thanks for the replies. A tee with a street elbow was actually my first plan, but the offset caused by the street elbow will cause an alignment problem with the current installation. Being the idiot that I am, I decided to build shelves before I fully planned out the heater location. Now I am...
Professionally I only ever used 12 point. I found them faster to use, it doesn't really matter how the socket is positioned it slides right on.
For rounding off fasteners, I think the quality of the socket makes far more difference than the number of points. When I was still pulling wrenches...
I second the keystone jacks with patch cords idea.
Also if you can do conduit, you all but guarantee your set up is future compatible.
Check out www.monoprice.com for cheap networking parts and tools. They are great to deal with, and I have never had a quality problem.
Disco Stu doesn't advertise! Neither does talk radio Charlie. I give my stickers to my kids, then I spend hours pealing them off of my walls, counters, appliances, clothing, the dog's fur, etc.
