Crimped copper hard line fittings - most cost-effective system?

Saw them the first time on our bathroom remodel. The plumber said they are faster to install so it saves their customers money😂

    Wifi in garage

My shop is about 125’ west of my house and a monther-in-law cottage about 90’ east. I also used Eeros in a mesh. So easy to setup even I could do it!

4th VP RACE JUG to split at the seams in 7-8 months.....

I’ve had to quit using them. Never looked at where the leak was.

What type of sewage ejector unit do i want to install outside.

I have a mother in law cottage that has to pump 150’ up to the septic tank at the main house. It is a macerator that sits in what the septic man called a trash can tank as, by design, it’s small. I assume thats to not allow solids a place to settle and not get pumped.

    Automotive radiator flush

Hot tanking ain’t what it used to be, make sure all the water passages are cleared. I had a Ford 200 straight six, when the block was decked the stop leak machined just like metal. I didn’t figure it out until I had the head off two more times!

    Vintage Space Electronics…

I don’t know about that. Comments aren’t converted to executable object code by any compiler/assembler that I ever heard of. Even the early single pass assemblers that NASA used had robust comments…in the source code.

Remote Light Switch for Detached Garage

The house we purchased in Georgia has about a dozen outdoor lights. Some are in trees, some at front gate, etc. the original switches are located in an equipment room in the basement. As part of the remodel the electrician installed the Lutron Caseta with Pico remotes that were installed in the...

Anyone have a recent 'What the hell went on here?" moment with their house or garage?

Here’s a view from a different room. No underlayment, just 3/4” on the floor joists (more 3 1/2” timber). Our SWAG was the sand was intended to absorb noise.

Anyone have a recent 'What the hell went on here?" moment with their house or garage?

Our GC and flooring sub have never seen/heard of this before. The house was constructed by a commercial builder, now deceased, and there have been a number of unusual “finds” during the remodel. These include a 2” water service, extensive use of steel and masonry on the main floor rather than...

Anyone have a recent 'What the hell went on here?" moment with their house or garage?

As part of our large home remodel we replaced a mix of old hardwood, carpet, and tile flooring with all LVP. When we started removing the hardwood on the main floor (walkout basement and garages underneath) we found a beach underneath.

    Looking for a workbench recommendation...

It’s EAA chapter 100. I can endorse their bench. My father gave me his mechanical and carpentry skills. Unfortunately he was a horrible carpenter and I’m worse. That being said I have used the EAA Chapter 100 plans and approach and have used them to build a workbench and reloading bench. Won’t...

Anyone using Ikea (Or similar) kitchen cabinets in their garages?

When we downsized space became a premium and the garage also had to serve multiple purposes. Went with the IKEA cabinets. All my power tools are in bags and are pretty heavy, had no problems whatsoever. Reading through the comments it looks like it comes down to personal preference.

    liftmaster 8500w and myq app

I have the same setup. I use a strong AND unique password. Since we are often gone for extended periods I turn on notifications for door open. I also have a Wyze cam that covers the garage and garage door and I have it set to notify on motion.
