    Make 103.27270 mobile?

I made a mobile base for my Craftsman Floor Model table saw 103.27270. Used parts from some preexisting bases around the shop that I was no longer using. Adds hardly anything to the overall height, about an 1”. The table saw sits in right square of the picture below and the legs for the...

The grinder pedestal stand was designed to be attached to the floor (see link to manual below). http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/222/5815.pdf If it’s used without securing in this manner, it would be extremely top heavy. Jay

Here’s pictures of the stand you need (it’s the only one I’ve seen in the last 16 years). I have different opinion than what was stated above, I find the stands to be stable and like the look. As FrankLee mentioned, those pictures you posted of the pedestal stand are for the Craftsman 12” band...

    103.0803 restoration help

I’m not sure on the strength of reattaching that small piece or how it would respond to the heat? Almost wonder if you would be further ahead to build up material (brazing of some sort) at that location, file/sand it to match the same look. Then thread it. Jay

    103.0803 restoration help

Hmmm…if there was enough thread, I was thinking you could use an epoxy type product (like JB Weld), more for cosmetic appearance to reattach the part. I don’t know if JB Weld would be enough to hold it as the primary thread. Brazing is a possibility, but if you can’t do it yourself, probably...

11b30b4’s Craftsman 103.22500 6” Belt Disc Sander Rebuild

In the second picture, it shows the factory belt guard support bracket. Based on the picture, it appears to be fine. Good find with the belt guard. They are somewhat rare. That can be a little fiddle to adjust. That’s a pretty big motor for the sander. Jay

Craftsman ½ hp vs 3/4 hp physical difference ?

I’d do some investigating (following FrankLee advice above). The cracked bell end frame may or may not impact the motor operation. The bell end may have been knocked off center from the fall, causing some interference with the motor shaft. It might just need to reseated (I’ve seen this...

Can you post pictures of the motor? Maybe someone has parts that would fit. Jay

Craftsman ½ hp vs 3/4 hp physical difference ?

Depends on the Craftsman motor and who produces the motor for Craftsman. Depending on the part there might be some interchangeability. Jay
