Tool to remove wheel bearing dust caps

Ditto! Was just googling where the best place to get the tool is, and came to the same conclusion I already new. Hey, the first snap on tool I've ever purchased, not sure if that is a good or bad thing!

Don't worry, he doesn't have a problem, he can stop when ever he wants! Right, Doc? Right...?

I love my welding table but it is too thick 3". How to cut down?

I have never seen such a unanimously agreed upon opinion. Takes a welding table to truly bring the garage journal community together.

    Cutting welded inside corner

I use an arc gouger, but that is probably not accessible to most.

    Old Keller 80 power hacksaw

They certainly can cut thick material, if you have patience! This was 6.5" round, past the capacity of the saw. Took 3 hours on the nose! Part came out pretty nice though. That blade was doing so well until I ruined it on the HAZ of a torch cut.

Tell them to hold the phone! I'll come work for them. Wow! What a view. To think 3 or 4 generations of machinist got to enjoy that natural light streaming in.

Beware of the fakes. Dad got two off ebay. Seems there are more fakes than real ones, and the more they charge whilst still being below MSRP, the more believable they seem.

Never seen much sucess in welding cast iron. But yellow metals and cast go hand in hand. This is a tig braze repair I did, one of my first ever. I don't think it's quite as good as O/A brazing with brass as far as wetting in, but it's a good process for putting down a lot of material. This...

I would SiB with a tig or brass braze with a torch. Latter probably better. I would not use any fish plates or or anything else, the braze is stronger than cast. The rack is probably case hardened?

Bent, chipped teeth, and broken? What exactly are you planning to do with it? I mean I guess that's fixable, but damn that is close to scrap metal if I've ever seen it.

Well, I think it's clear my comment did not have the effect it intended and was not helpful. That's not my intention and I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable in their own thread. You deserve the audience that appreciates what you do and what you offer. It appears that that is no...

For sure. I'm in North Alabama and you couldn't scrape enough rust off the first 100 cars on FB marketplace to match what hits the ground when you kick one rocker in the salt states. I have only ever broken one bolt/stud, an exhaust stud, on my 26 year old, 197k mile BMW. 99% of the time they...

Excellent deal. It's a beast. Anything you can fit in its beak, it will cut. Rarely do I go full bore on the trigger to try to save the blade. McM has a coarse pitch blade for it. With that installed, it rips through 1.5" solid stock in seconds. I got it bare for $150, the extra 4ah for $19...
