(4) 2" tall (useable) and (1) 3" tall useable height. I'm swapping out some drawer on a big Lista Cabinet and have these drawers available. They are in excellent condition. 3 drawers have full extension tracks. 2 drawers do not come with tracks. $75 per drawer without tracks. $100 per...
Got a great deal on a lightly used Harbor Frieght tube roller with the Swag Offroad upgrade kit and 3 sets of dies. Previous owner even made a nice stand for it. Anyone else have one? I don't find many reviews.
Yah I ended up up with Snap On. Just searched eBay and waited for a fair deal. Still spent too much, but good tools are usually worth it. They are well used, but I took them apart, cleaned snd greased them and I’m sure they will still out last me. They are so damn nice to use.
If the building is heated (or if you ever plan for it to be) I'd add perimeter insulation around the outside of the board, before backfilling or pouring more concrete.
Altering truss components is usually a bad idea. However, in this case, it doesn't appear they are doing much of anything. Looks like they are just tacked to the top plates and not even to the rafters.
Here's a good article that talks about FPSF and they work for unheated structures too. https://www.homeinnovation.com/~/media/Files/Reports/Revised-Builders-Guide-to-Frost-Protected-Shallow-Foundations.pdf
I think you are fine. You poured a thickened edge monolithic slab. Did say what he was concerned about? Did you insulate under the slab? If the building will be heated then you need to make this a Frost Protected Shallow Foundation (FPSF). You need 2"-4" of insulation on the perimeter of...
I'm not a big car guy and my wrenches are making me money, but I tend to fix most of my own equipment we use on our acreage. I've used Craftsman Raised Panel wrenches for many years. They have served me well and my only complaint is sometimes I find the open end is a bit too thick. Something...
Great advice. Thanks for all the tips. I’m not sure what they used on the pitiless, but I doubt they did anything above and beyond the easiest for them. I do know they were well over 6’ down to the pitiless though. I guess ill find out when I dig it back up to make the connections. I’m in...
Awesome. This is very helpful. Kicking myself that I didn't put the damn thing in to start with, but this is a lot easier than having to run a line from the house or shop.
Stop valve near the tee, on the line running to the barn I presume? This works even though the pressure tank and control is in the house? I thought all services needed to be after the pressure tank?
Yes it is. The pressure tank and control is in the house though. I'm trying to recall why they had me run the water for the shop from the house, instead of teeing off by the well. I thought it was because it needed to be after the pressure tank, but I might not be remembering correctly.
Looking at building an unheated barn in the spring and thinking about how to get water to it for the critters. Wife and daughter want horses and I have a 36' x 48' workshop, so it's time I get on it. Our well pipe is about a 1/3 of the way between the house and where the barn will be...
