The old mechanics at my dads shop had SK's when I was a kid and I always thought the looked great. So keeping that in mind I'm a little biased.
That being said truth is that the sk 3770 with a little grease in the inside is smooth like butter and built like a tank.

I've got several Dual 80's and they are super nice but for some reason old bent handle SK is my favorite.
For me I use both but I favor one brand over another for certain pliers...

To follow on to some of the earlier comments in this thread I have a few of the gripon locking pliers and I haven't been super impressed.
I feel like they performed for me right at the same-ish level as recent irwins.
