    WTB: Gearwrench ratchets - 1/2, 2/8, 1/4

Im looking for the 60-tooth models. They are standardizing their new 84-tooth designs, so dump your old ratchets on me and get the new stuff! :lol_hitti Im also looking for 3/8" metric sockets. Craftsman or gearwrench are fine. PM me with what youve got! Ill also consider snap-on and matco...

    WTB: Co2/Argon tank

Buy one from your local welding shop. Up here in maine we have a place called Maine Oxy. I got a 60CU tank for $150. It came filled up with trimix gas too. Call around and try to get them to fill the tank as a courtesy gesture for giving them your business.

    Hobart Handler(used) 135 vs Eastwood 135(new)

As long as it holds the welder and has wheels, ill be fine with it. If i find it sub-par, i can reinforce it and modify it because i have a welder! I feel so..... POWERFUL! But really.. I took this chance to get everything i needed. I got the HH140, cart, a 20 ton bottlejack, 4 3-ton locking...

    Hobart Handler(used) 135 vs Eastwood 135(new)

The welder comes with this cart for free: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200027624_200027624 It has good reviews and looks high quality. Its a hobart product, so it should hold the welder snugly.

    Hobart Handler(used) 135 vs Eastwood 135(new)

Im going to be fabricating intercooler and exhaust piping out of stainless, so ill need trimix gas for now. But all of the reinforcement work on my car will be done with mild steel. Does trimix work well for mild steel too, or will i need to switch gas/flux? Maine Oxy told me that they would...

    Hobart Handler(used) 135 vs Eastwood 135(new)

I ended up getting a Hobart Handler 140 from NorthernTool. They have a nice special going on. $495, free shipping, and a free cart. They also have an auto darkening mask for $40. Im also picking up a 20-ton bottle jack. A hydraulic press will be the first tool i make. No more pressing bushings...

WTB: Miller, Lincoln, or Hobart 140/135 amp welder

As the title states, im looking for a 140/135 amp name brand welder. It must be 140 or 135 because im going to be using gas for stainless piping, and flux for thicker mild steel. I have Cash. I cant set a price because they vary so much. Im willing to buy an entire welding package (mask, air...

    Hobart Handler(used) 135 vs Eastwood 135(new)

It is all made in china, but apparently it was designed to be on the same level as the lincolns, millers, and hobarts. Im having a really hard time finding a USED miller, hobart, or lincoln that is in the same price-range as the new eastwood. Id be willing to spend $400, but that is the MAX...

    Hobart Handler(used) 135 vs Eastwood 135(new)

Im looking at Hobart Handler 135's, not 40's. Im a guy who does an assload of research on stuff before he buys, and i have read that the older Handler 135's have wire feed problems. On the plus side, its already set up for gas. Gas rental around here is $30 for a 40CF tank. If i get a tank, a...

    Hobart Handler(used) 135 vs Eastwood 135(new)

Well, the eastwood just sold. That is no longer an option. I just spoke to a lady whos father passed away. She told me that he has a shop. The description of the ad stated that he had a welder, but she isnt sure what make or model it is. She said he has a 6HP 60gal air compressor and other...

    Hobart Handler(used) 135 vs Eastwood 135(new)

Im looking to buy a MIG to do some fabricating/welding. It will just be a hobby machine, nothing more. I have a low budget of $300 for a machine. I was looking at the eastwood welder, and it seems like a great machine for the jobs i want to do. I found one for sale local to me. It is new in the...

    Possible restoration candidate?

I actually didnt see that there was one drawer missing. Id assume that replacements arent available since it is such an old model. The guy said it was 15 years old. That may be a dealbreaker. And im in maine. Windham to be exact. Im currently storing all of my car parts/tools/other **** on a...

    Possible restoration candidate?

First off, a little backstory. Im a 19 year old Mech. Eng. college student with a love for cars. Over the past years my tool collection has grown immensely, so i think its time to get a nice toolbox to store my stuff into. I visited a few hardware stores, and all of the toolboxes that are sub...
