    Bosch Concrete Grinder/Surfacer

Was using a sweeping motion like you would buff a car. Using some pressure on the wheel. Thinking the 7" wheel is just too much for the grinders to swing. Going to try a 5". This *****.

    Bosch Concrete Grinder/Surfacer

Well the two HF 7" grinders came in today. I also bought a "dustie" shroud to attach a vacuum. Mounted the shroud and 7" cup wheel and commenced to grind down a high spot. Great dust capture and removal rate was great for about 5 minutes and then the HF grinder went up in smoke. Even at $45 per...

Walnuts in a new out of level floor!

All I can tell you is, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!! I am working on one that is 4 years old but was poured with cold joints that are 1" difference high to low. The idiot that poured mine didn't use expansion material around the block periphery and it cracked horribly all across the slab. I was going to...

    Bosch Concrete Grinder/Surfacer

Thank you sir. I am working in an area right now that is Really close to finished rooms and I hate to use a scarifier. I will try the HF grinder. I have a dandy 7" cup wheel and was moving along well until the grinder puked. Going to use sacrifier on the big area. Will be in touch with you...

    Bosch Concrete Grinder/Surfacer

I have a ton of leveling to do. Is this tool rugged enough for extended use? Does the dust shroud capture most of the dust? I just fried a 10 amp Ridgid grinder using a cupped wheel. I think it ate too much dust. Any comments or notes from folks that own and have used this tool would be greatly...

    Patching floor before epoxy-coat

Will do after I work down the high spots and see what I have left. Anybody ever use the big two disc, gas powered grinder that Sunbelt rents out? I think it is about a 300 pound machine. Was wondering what abrasives to use for the most aggressive cut.

    Patching floor before epoxy-coat

Additives to make it flow? I am going to need a lot more than 2 gallons!

    Patching floor before epoxy-coat

So by keyed in you mean to **** up to a 1/16" edge ground into original floor? Is the 1 gallon kit after aggregate addition more than 1 gallon by volume? Any additives to make it flow? I am going to need a substantial amount if I try to repair my floor.

    Patching floor before epoxy-coat

How thin can you feather out the epoxy based aggregates? Also max thickness that can be applied?

    sealing concrete floor

Don't these sealers have to be removed to top coat with epoxy based products? I used a product made by Euclid and it lets oil go straight through and just about any petroleum product dissolves it.

    Concrete garage floor woes

In my mind I had came to the tear out and replace point but my heart said if I could make lemonade out of lemons I might be able to get a ground and coated floor that would be really nice if all the filling, grinding, coating came out nice. Lots of work and lots of mess. My only issue with tear...

    Concrete garage floor woes

I did. The cost of recovery, if any, far outweighed the cost of the floor. I amnot exagerating the problems. I can roll across it on my shop stool and its like riding a roller coaster. When I push my boat in by hand I have to hold onto it once it gets to the center of the garage because it takes...

    Concrete garage floor woes

The floor was this way from day one except the cracks. They showed up Day three. I like the idea of a poured floor on top of tis one if a product is available that would bind to the scarified concrete and have enough tensile strength to hold up. I only have about 2 " to work with which would be...

    Concrete garage floor woes

I have trouble with pics but will try. Hard to get anything that shows lowest low to high spots as they are from center of building to corners. Will try.

    Concrete garage floor woes

My man doors are at grade and I would need to reframe and tear out stone on the outside to raise them up. That is an option!! Wonder if two inches would be enough.
