I'd check the coo. If Taiwan they're probably good, if China I'd pass. Never know with GW but which country it came from tends to tell you if it'll be a good tool or not. Really though I'd just buy the Knipex and know the tool is gonna bite when I need it to.

Many many years ago I was doing fire/flood work. Big snow storm had come through and I went to a cabin with another coworker, water line had froze and cracked in the 3rd floor bathroom. All 3 floors have water damage. My job for the day was to gut the bathroom and as much of the 3rd floor done...

Jaw is as expect, a rough finish. But it shines up nice if you want it too. I don't normally clean my tools, so these pictures are as it sits. Look at the teeth, clearances on moving joints, and general fit/finish. And remember this is a used tool, pictures taken with a cell phone in a poorly...

Admittedly these aren't used every day, and I wouldnt (nor havent) use them for welding. But this little guy has been bathed in grinder sparks, and been dropped/kicked around. Bet all I need to make it look brand new is a microfiber and a toothbrush. This Harbor Freight OTOH...

Got a friend who buys tools at auction; home depot returns, damaged shipments, etc. Checks what works, what's garbage. The working stuff goes on Amazon as used. Garbage goes to the trash. Sometimes it's brand new tools someone bought to steal the battery or get the best deal on whatever and then...

Harry Epsteins has them, and is a local store to somebody. Just order enough to make the shipping worth it.

I have that SK style wrench, also made by Wright, mine are vintage Bonney. They've worked well so far but I wonder if they're as good as traditional

Orrco brass nozzles on Amazon. Any seal will leak eventually but these seals are easy to replace. Bonus, I sell a rubbery grip cover for it. 😉
