    Project of a lifetime.......so far

Hey Lippy, That sounds like as good or better a ground. Mine seems to be working so far. No death in lightning storms! :shocking:

    Project of a lifetime.......so far

Hi Sanford. Took a little time to get back here. In Afghanistan, and only go to some of the old sites on occasion. Apparently, it's been some serious time. In any case, yes, I love the building. It's fantastic in every way except the way the dealer treated me. The guy was a serious tool. I...

Yeah. It's a ground plate electrode I built. It serves as the ground electrode for the subpanel (Garage 100amp service is fed from main panel 200amp service in house).

Outback Steel Buildings. I got mine in Colorado from a dealer that I would NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER RECOMMEND! Corporate Outback seems to be a good group, but both Metal Sales and the dealer I got mine from were nightmares to deal with. I'm going to elaborate on these two points...

Yeah. Eventually. Sunk so much loot into it so far that I haven't had the cash to insulate it. Going to go with a spray on insulation from the company of one of my neighbors. This year, I've used only about 40 gallons of propane. Not too bad. I get out there even when it's super cold, but even...

Here are some more pics. Missed a lot of construction because of massive need to accelerate operations and get $hit done before winter set in on us.

Man, I'm terribly sorry. I've been working and building, and nearly nothing else. Sorry bro. Snow has been pretty thin this year, thank god. A big year means countless hours on the Unimog plowing the road. I'm the only reason any of the locals can get up here during the winter. Glad its been a...

Thanks brother! I commented on your garage a while back too. Great looking place! I'm nearly finished, but have been remiss in taking a lot of pictures of the roof and front siding going up. Also, all the electrical, lighting, hanging furnace, and garage doors are in. Will update as soon as I...

    Project "Truck Shop" underway

Now that, sir, is a very fine build. Went through all 14 pages. Fantastic job! And yes, that siding does look eerily familiar. Love the wagoneer. I used to have a 77 cherokee chief. Loved it. Gave it to my father who drove it for a few years then sold it. Wish I could find that vehicle again...

Thanks Naki!. Sounds like a killer project! I'm not planning on sealing the floor at this point. Maybe I should, but this building has cost a tremendous amount of money so far and I just want to stop hemorraging money for a while! Hi. Slab is actually 6-8" everywhere but the edges, where...

    Project of a lifetime.......so far

Okay, here are some more. I'm way ahead of my postings, so I need to catch up. I think there's going to be a big part of the final roofing and stuff I missed. I'm now to the point of having wired the entire thing, just making final connections on a couple of the outlet runs, exterior lights and...

    Reznor Side Venting help needed...

Hi. I have a reznor too and found a resource that may help. I assume you mean a UDAP vs UPAP. Here is a link to the page where you will find the UDAP 60 pdf file. Check Table 4.1. It seems to agree that you don't need a lot of space. Hope this helps. If it isn't the right one, the site may...

    Project of a lifetime.......so far

ROFL! Yeah, because I've been the one that drove nearly every single screw, drilled every hole, assembled every part. This is pretty much a solo job, though I've definitely had a little help here and there from friends, my boss, and neighbors. The help they've given me is significant, but the...
