@ssdave about your comment "Any void under concrete equals failure. It's just a matter of time." Concrete void forming is a common practice. You actually pour on top of cardboard. It rots away leaving a void under the slab.

Here is my old one 2.5' X 15' poured the counter top out of concrete. and my new work bench 8' X 3.5' poured in place

I have had 3 of my buddies install the kits from Homedepot. Every one of them regrets it. all three are experiencing hot tire pick up.

I second what was said about the softener. My father in law parked his 34 ford hot rod in his and didnt think about it, a while later the thousands of dollars worth of billet parts all clouded over. needless to say the softener found a new home outside. Garage looks great by the way!
