    Do-All Band Saw ID

The blade welder/brazer was almost beyond repair, but I was able to clean and repair everything. The original switch had cracked, and I couldn't find a replacement that worked in the same configuration. I was able to find a new faceplate for the switch. So I made a new mount that entrapped...

One of the handwheels had been broken during a move, so i attempted my first try at aluminum casting. I'm happy with how it came out.

Well its been a few years, but I finally got some time to fix this old beast up. Far from perfect, but it runs and cuts. Didn't take as many pictures (or as even very good ones at that) as I'd like to have, but here they are.

Ok so it seems the fiber resin might be worth picking up a few to give a try. Any brands to look for, i cant say I've seen them at the LWS (maybe they have them hiding in the back).

    Flap Discs and grinding wheels

Yea i saw the Lehigh Valley ones, but was kind of Leary. You know that whole if its too good to be true it probably isn't. I really want to avoid buying cheap abrasives, they just end up wasting more time and money in the long run.

    Flap Discs and grinding wheels

Thats an excellent point. Never thought about it, but the flap disc boxes do take up a ton more space than the cut off discs.

Robert, I'm ok with loosing the thread on arbor. I was actually thinking about switching back, figured it might be cheaper. Its just what my local supplier had. Chicken, I'll check eBay, for some reason never even thought about that. I tried amazon, and almost everything that comes up is...
