Why not something like this?

They mount on the legs and it is mobile when you want without the sway and rocking of casters. Look through the pictures on Rocklers site to see how people modify them for different benches.
Wouldn't you want the kill switch on the left of the dash?
Both to comply with "the switch should be easily accessible from outside the car" - lemons rules and logic that should something happen then emergency personnel wouldn't have to reach into the car to turn it off?
I've seen other cars...
I'd make a rolling magnetic sweeper that functions from a 12V drill battery. Since those magnets have some real strength it would be nice to have a sweeper that has enough ground clearance to be useful over grass/mulch AND still be functional.
The DW780 is on sale for 499 at lowes. Ebay will get you a 10% off lowes coupon any day of the week for a few dollars. Which puts the 780 just $50 more than the 779 sale price. The illuminated guide system and increase in cut depths on the 780 is worth the extra $50, in my opinion.
Putting this here so people have a reference if they ever find this thread in a search.

Mark, thank you for the reply. I did not mention budget because I am willing to spend/save more to do it correctly and hopefully only have to think about the overall setup once. If the best way means spending more now to replace the entire panel with a larger one, so be it.
Yes the plan...
Thank you for the replies! Figures I would forget an important aspect in the process...location. Everything is pretty close to each other. Generator hookup could be at the same corner of the house. See below.
Mike, do you have any links or references as to how to do the load calculations...

I would like to add the following:
-Interlock for generator (Need 240V for the well pump)
-Dedicated circuit (240V?) in the garage...
While not exactly what you are looking for I had a similar problem. My solution was to use a LED high bay light and a guitar stand.
The high bay light is wired to have a Nema 5-15 plug on it. From there I can move or hang it anywhere. There are a lot more options for outputs and color...
Pretty creative build and a lot of weight lost. Looking forward to seeing the progress!
I am interested in some pictures of the car as a whole to see the difference in look due to being shortened.
We also have a heavy car...
I would look into different troffer retrofit solutions if you would like higher quality than LED strips.

Ody, I read this whole thread and what a great read it was. You have some amazing projects and do amazing work on them. The cars are great and that view over the water is to die for!
I can't wait to read as the story continues to develop.
